The Starlight variety, also known by the breeding name 'Hilstar', belongs to the spray carnation group. The plant forms fully double flowers, with the number of petals varying from 27 to 32 and a flower diameter of 55–57 mm.

The petal color is characterized as moderate yellowish-pink with the presence of irregular bright red streaks. The petal edges are slightly serrated and wavy; the fragrance of the flowers is weak.
