The Toldo variety belongs to the species Dianthus caryophyllus. It is a single-bud variety that produces one large flower with a diameter of 8–8.5 cm on each stem.

The flowers have a uniform deep red-purple color. The plant's leaves have a characteristic grey-green shade. When grown for cutting, the stem height reaches about 70 cm.

The variety is intended for commercial use in bouquets and arrangements. The plant is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses and open field, showing resistance to weather conditions.
