The variety was derived at least partially from Dianthus chinensis. It belongs to the standard carnation category, which is characterized by having one large flower per stem.
The flowers are fully double, having a deep red main tone with a narrow pale purple-pink rim along the edge. The petal margins are slightly serrated.
Detailed agronomic characteristics, including plant height and disease resistance, are not presented in open sources.
