The plant is an evergreen crop with sword-shaped leaves that have a bright lime color and reach 60–90 cm in length with a width of about 5 cm. With age, the leaf color may lighten, and the lower part of the stem becomes exposed due to natural leaf drop.

In protected cultivation conditions, the plant height usually reaches 1.5–2 meters. The crop is characterized by slow growth and shade tolerance, although it prefers bright diffused light. Flowering in indoor conditions occurs extremely rarely, accompanied by the appearance of fragrant inflorescences ranging from white to pale yellow in hue.

The variety is sensitive to excessive moisture, which causes root rots, and is susceptible to pests, including spider mites, thrips, and scale insects.
