The plant forms a basal rosette consisting of broad obovate or spatulate leaves. The leaves in the rosette are arranged relatively loosely.
Juvenile leaves have a bright dark red color with a pink margin and a moderate glossy sheen. Mature leaves are colored a very dark purple with a narrow pink margin and have a weak glossy sheen. The variety's characteristics are stable during propagation.
