The plant belongs to the Crassulaceae family and is a hybrid variety, which is often classified as Echeveria agavoides. The rosette is dense, resembling a lotus flower or agave, reaching 10–30 cm in height and 15–20 cm in diameter. Growth rates are slow.
Flowering occurs from late winter to summer; the plant produces upright flower stalks with bell-shaped pink-red flowers with yellow tips. The Echeveria is drought-tolerant, requires a temperature range from +8–10°C in winter to +22–27°C in summer, and is sensitive to excess moisture and lack of light.
