The variety SunSeekers Purplelicious is a perennial herbaceous plant with an upright and relatively compact growth habit. The bush is prone to active branching, and the stems have a characteristic purple-red hue.

The plant has vigorous growth and forms numerous large simple-type inflorescences. The ray florets and the spines on the receptacle are colored purple-red.
