The plant is a small shrub with a compact, naturally upright growth habit, reaching a height of about 50 cm. The leaves are dark green. A key feature is the spring flowering with bright lemon-yellow tubular flowers approximately 2 cm in length.
The variety possesses resistance to wind and sea spray. Frost resistance is limited to the range of -5°C to -8°C; therefore, in cold climatic conditions, cultivation in containers with the possibility of shelter is recommended.
