Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 25–45 cm and forms a dense cushion shape. In spring, the foliage has a greenish tint, which changes to burgundy-red and purple during the summer; in autumn, the color becomes intensely red. The flowers are small, surrounded by bright sulfur-yellow bracts during the flowering period in April–May.
The variety prefers full sun, which enhances the brightness of the color, and well-drained soils. The plant is drought-tolerant after establishment, possesses strong upright stems, and has high resistance to diseases and pests, which is due to the presence of toxic milky sap.
