The plant has a rounded growth habit, reaching a height of 25–38 cm and a width of 61–71 cm. The foliage is dark green with a characteristic reddish cast. The inflorescences consist of many small white bracts, sometimes having a slight pink tint.

The variety is heat-loving, grown as an annual in most regions, and is suitable for container gardening or group plantings. The plant is resistant to heat and drought, and is also little damaged by deer and rabbits due to the presence of milky sap.
