The Stigaro variety is a hybrid obtained as a result of crossing Euphorbia milii and Euphorbia lophogona. In botanical classification, it also belongs to the Euphorbia x lomi Rauh group of hybrids.

The plant is an ornamental crop. The main purpose of the variety is for use in floral arrangements and cultivation in container culture.
