Variety description

The plant forms compact clumps 30–60 cm tall and up to 90 cm wide. The leaves are glossy, green, sometimes with a bronze-purple tint, and have angular and pointed lobes. Bright yellow daisy-like flowers appear on flower stalks up to 60 cm tall in late October and November.
The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field in woodland gardens or in containers. It prefers partial shade and moist, rich, well-drained soils. The plant is not drought tolerant and requires regular watering. It possesses resistance to deer, and winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 6a–10b.
