The variety was obtained by crossing the maternal line 5F205 and the paternal variety San Juan. The plant has an energetic growth type and open foliage, adapted for the conditions of the southern coast of California.
The variety is characterized by high yield and large fruit size, and possesses resistance to powdery mildew. In a number of official registries, it is noted as being excluded from lists of commercial varieties.
