The variety was bred at the experimental station in Zaltbommel. The plant is characterized by high yield. The berries are large and have good taste qualities; a feature of the variety is the difficult separation of sepals when harvesting the fruit.
The variety has good resistance to diseases. It is used in breeding work as a parent form, in particular, in the creation of the Elvira variety.
