The variety was bred in California and is a hybrid between the wild coastal strawberry Fragaria chiloensis and the variety Ettersburg No. 84. In a later period, the variety was mentioned in Czechoslovak and German lists as officially approved.

Plants are medium-sized, with a low habit. Berries are small, round-shaped, glossy, pale pink or whitish in color, with moderately firm and juicy flesh. The variety belongs to the late maturity group.

Historical descriptions noted the plant's low susceptibility to leaf spot. At the same time, the variety was characterized as unproductive.
