The flowers of the variety have a bright red color, often with a yellow throat in the center, and are collected in inflorescences of 5–10 pieces. The leaves are narrow, lanceolate, and green in color. The plant reaches a height of 30 to 50 cm and possesses a strong peduncle.
The variety is intended for cultivation in gardens, containers, and for use in bouquets. Freesia is a thermophilic crop requiring sunny areas with well-drained soil. In cold climates, the corms require annual lifting for the winter.
