The variety is a compact evergreen shrub approximately 40 cm in height and width. A distinctive feature is the variegated foliage.
The plant blooms with white double flowers from June to September. The crop prefers partial shade and withstands temperature drops down to -10°C, requiring protection in severe winters. The plant is inedible.
