The variety Vergaul is the trade name of the plant known as Gaulnettya ×wisleyensis «Jingle Bells». The shrub is an intergeneric hybrid resulting from the crossing of representatives of the genera Gaultheria and Pernettya, which are currently included in the genus Gaultheria.
The plant is evergreen. The flowering period occurs in April–May, the flowers have a white or pinkish-white color. The shrub produces black fruits and has ornamental properties. For cultivation, acidic, peaty or forest soils and semi-shaded areas are preferred.
