The plant forms a dense bush that does not require support. The foliage has a rich dark shade, most pronounced in the spring period. The funnel-shaped flowers have contrasting dark anthers.
Flowering begins in early summer and can continue until autumn if faded shoots are removed. The variety is winter hardy (USDA zones 4–8), is characterized by longevity and resistance to diseases. It develops well in the sun and partial shade on fertile drained soils.
