The Amber variety is an object of study in works devoted to the in vitro propagation of Gerbera and the influence of growth regulators, such as gibberellic acid, upon it. Research includes experiments on induced radiation mutagenesis.

In the course of scientific observations, it was established that treatment with gibberellins increases the peduncle length and inflorescence size, however, it does not increase the yield of cut flowers and leads to a reduction in the vase life of the flower.
