The TERTHERMO variety is officially included in the list of example varieties for the calibration and comparison of characteristics during distinctness, uniformity, and stability testing. Its use allows for the standardization of evaluation methodology in Gerbera cultivation.
Morphologically, the variety is characterized by strong intensity of anthocyanin coloration in the distal part of the inner bracts. It also serves as a reference when describing the characteristic of the position of the apex of the outer ray florets relative to the upper part of the involucre.
