The variety was used primarily as a crop for cut flower production in greenhouse conditions. According to test results in protected ground, the flower diameter is about 10.5 cm, and the plant height varies at the level of 30–35 cm.
In comparative trials with other varieties, the Ornella gerbera showed average performance in growth rates and leaf count. Vase life of cut flowers varied depending on the season and growing conditions.
