Hybrid 1018L CLP belongs to the simple type and is intended for cultivation using Clearfield Plus technology, which ensures resistance to imidazolinone herbicides. The plant is mid-maturing with a vegetation period of 120–130 days. It has an average stem height, developed leaf mass, and a tilted head for ease of harvesting.

Seed oil content is 46–50%, the thousand kernel weight varies from 52 to 60 g. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to lodging, drought, and heat, and also possesses early growth vigor. The recommended seeding density is 55–65 thousand plants per hectare depending on the moisture level.

The variety has high resistance to a wide spectrum of diseases, including Phomopsis, Phoma, Verticillium wilt, rust, charcoal rot, and Alternaria leaf blight. It is resistant to downy mildew (race PL9) and infestation by broomrape races A–G.
