Apolonia CS is a simple early-maturing oil sunflower hybrid with medium plant height. The head is convex in shape and semi-pendulous.
The hybrid possesses high oil content, ranging from 45.5–47%, and a high oleic acid content in the range of 87–88%. The plant demonstrates good resistance to lodging and a number of diseases, including downy mildew.
