The hybrid "Bastion", included in the State Register of the Russian Federation for the Lower Volga region, is a three-way mid-season hybrid with a vegetation period of about 115 days. The plant is characterized by a very high stature and a seed oil content at the level of 46.4 percent. The variety is moderately resistant to downy mildew, while in field conditions it may be affected by rust and broomrape.
