Dahlas is a simple sunflower hybrid with a growing period of 112–115 days. Plant height is 180–190 cm; the 21–23 cm diameter head has a semi-tilted shape for protection against moisture. The yield potential of the hybrid is 50–55 c/ha with an oil content of about 50%.
The hybrid possesses high resistance to lodging, drought, and heat. It is genetically resistant to 7 races of broomrape (A–G). It is characterized by high resistance to major diseases: downy mildew and charcoal rot, as well as phoma leaf spot, phomopsis, and white rot.
