The variety is classified as a sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.). The plants are annuals and reach a height in the range of 1 to 2 meters.

The inflorescences of the crop are large, with a diameter of up to 30 cm. The variety is used as a food source for wild birds in the period after seed ripening, as well as for planting in so-called wild fields.
