The Hysun 44 hybrid appears in scientific literature as one of the imported hybrids used in agronomic research in Pakistan. Within the Hysun series, it is encountered significantly less frequently than other hybrids in this line.
In comparative trials, the hybrid's ability to form the maximum number of seeds per head was noted. For a number of other morphological traits, such as stem thickness, leaf area, and 1000 kernel weight, Hysun 44 did not differ statistically significantly from other hybrids.
