The IS 7775 hybrid appeared in US experimental station reports in the 1970s. During the 1979 trials, the average crop yield was 1610 lbs/acre with an oil content of 39.2%.
The biological characteristics of the variety allowed for defoliation in late August followed by harvesting in mid-September. Current data on the commercial use of this hybrid are unavailable; it was mentioned in historical lists of varieties approved for seed certification.
