The seeds contain up to 52% oil and up to 17% protein. The hybrid possesses high initial growth vigor, lodging resistance, and drought tolerance. Resistance is reported for phomopsis, sclerotinia, phoma, rust, powdery mildew, and broomrape races A–E.
