The hybrid SY Cadix is a mid-maturing plant with a vegetation period of 108 to 115 days. Stem height is 150–160 cm. Yield potential reaches 4.0–4.5 t/ha with an oil content in seeds of about 49%.
The plant belongs to the moderately intensive type and is adapted for cultivation in arid steppe zones. The hybrid possesses resistance to lodging, seven races of broomrape (A–G), and high tolerance to major diseases, including phomopsis, sclerotinia, downy mildew, white rot, and rust.
