The LHA 355/34 line is a component for producing the oilseed sunflower hybrid LG 5560. The hybrid belongs to the mid-season group, with a vegetation period of approximately 127 days. The plant is characterized by high growth, a straight stem, and large triangular leaves with moderate blistering. The head is strongly convex and semi-pendant; the seeds have a narrow-ovate shape and are black in color.
The hybrid possesses resistance to a range of downy mildew pathotypes, is moderately resistant to head rot, and moderately susceptible to white stem rot and Phomopsis. The produce is distinguished by a high oil content, averaging 47.27%, and a high oleic acid content, characteristic of the seeds of both the hybrid itself and its parental lines.
