The sunflower Linzi is a traditional conventional single-cross hybrid. Its maternal line 217A was developed at the Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute, and the paternal line 99R was obtained by the induced parthenogenesis method using embryo culture from the hybrid 132 × 98.
During trials, the average seed yield was 38.27 c/ha. The hybrid is used in scientific work dedicated to oilseed breeding, studying the influence of primary tillage systems on yield and physical seed properties, as well as researching herbicide resistance.
