The ornamental annual sunflower is a plant up to 180 cm in height with a branched stem. From 4 to 6 lemon-yellow inflorescences with a dark center are formed on one bush; the flowering period lasts from July to September.
The oilseed hybrid "Lunnyi F1" is characterized by a vegetation period of 90 to 100 days and a plant height of 170–180 cm. The oil content in the seeds is 45–50%.
