Marbelia CL is a moderately intensive hybrid with a vegetation period of 104 to 115 days and rapid early growth. Plants reach a height of 165–170 cm. The flower heads have a diameter of 22–24 cm and a semi-pendant or inclined position.
The oil content of the seeds is 47–48%. The hybrid possesses high resistance to lodging and drought, as well as genetic resistance to a range of broomrape races. It shows tolerance to Verticillium wilt, Phomopsis, various types of Sclerotinia, and downy mildew.
