Maxtor is a sunflower hybrid. In open sources and agricultural crop catalogs, the variety is more often mentioned without the F1 index.

During studies conducted in the Thrace region in 2013–2015, the variety underwent comparative testing, in which its seed yield and oil content indicators were studied depending on the soil type.
