The hybrid «Mura» belongs to the oilseed direction of use. In the breeding process, carried out under the leadership of M. Khristov, methods of polycross hybridization were used in combination with ultrasonic or gamma radiation. The work was conducted, among other things, by involving genetic material of wild sunflower species to improve resistance characteristics.
Scientific publications note the high productivity of the hybrid and significant oil content in the seeds. The female line of this hybrid possesses high susceptibility to broomrape (Orobanche cumana Wallr.). In open publications, there is no data on the exact plant height, maturity group, and lodging resistance indicators.
