The plant reaches a height of 160–180 cm and possesses a powerful branched root system. The head is convex in shape with a diameter of 20–25 cm; achenes are elongated and black in color. The thousand kernel weight is 60–70 g with a husk content of 22–24%. The potential yield is estimated at more than 50–58 c/ha.
The hybrid is characterized by high drought tolerance and lodging resistance. It possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew, rust, and the sunflower moth. It shows tolerance to phomopsis, phoma, and charcoal rot, and is also resistant to several races of broomrape.
