The crop possesses high resistance to lodging and drought. It is resistant to downy mildew, phoma, and phomopsis, as well as to 5 races (A–E) of broomrape. Adapted for cultivation in forest, forest-steppe, and northern steppe zones.
The recommended plant density at harvest time is 50–60 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture and 45–55 thousand under insufficient moisture.
