The Bulgarian sunflower hybrid «Santafé» was bred in the 1980s as part of a series of early-maturing hybrids; however, detailed agronomic characteristics, such as disease resistance or yield parameters, are not presented in open sources.

The ornamental variety Helianthus annuus 'Santa Fe' is an annual garden plant reaching a height of 1.5–1.7 meters. This variety is distinguished by double golden-orange inflorescences and is used primarily for flower bed design and cut flowers.
