The ornamental sunflower variety Sunbird, also known as Sunbird Double Yellow-Red, is a tall plant reaching 2.5–3.2 m in height. It forms large yellow flowers and is grown primarily in horticulture for decorating sites, as well as for attracting pollinators and birds.
A sunflower variety of the same name is presented in the national variety list of Kenya, characterized by high biomass, increased protein content, and resistance to rust. This selection has no confirmed connection with the company Panam France, in whose official portfolio hybrids with this name are absent.
