The variety was obtained by recurrent selection from seeds of the «Родник» variety. The plant is characterized by medium height, lack of branching, and strong pubescence of the upper part of the stem. Leaves are medium, heart-shaped, without anthocyanin coloration. The head is of medium size, half-turned downward, the seed side is convex. Achenes are broadly oval, black in color with gray stripes on the edges.
The fat content in the seeds is about 48.2%. The variety possesses resistance to broomrape (races A–E). Moderate susceptibility to Phomopsis is noted, as well as susceptibility to downy mildew and white rot.
