SY Arco is a simple hybrid obtained by the classical breeding method using lines FS73050 and RD502001P. The plant is characterized by a medium-sized head (about 17 cm), black narrow-ovate seeds, and a stem height of 90 to 170 cm. The oil content of the seeds is 48–51%, potential yield — up to 4.0–5.0 t/ha.
The hybrid possesses high resistance to rust, genetic resistance to broomrape races A–F (or A–G), as well as tolerance to Phomopsis, white rot, and downy mildew. The variety exhibits high initial growth vigor, heat and drought tolerance, and is suitable for cultivation using classical technology.
