The hybrid belongs to the mid-maturing group with a growing season of 110 to 120 days. The plant is medium-tall, 160 to 180 cm in height, and does not branch. The leaves are green, the head is large and nodding, and the ray florets are yellow.
The fat content in the seeds is about 40–52%, thousand kernel weight is 58.3 g. The VPERED KLP hybrid modification is high-oleic (oleic acid content up to 75%) and is intended for the Clearfield Plus cultivation system.
The plant possesses medium drought tolerance and is adapted to zones with insufficient moisture. The hybrid shows resistance to five races of broomrape (A, B, C, D, E) and moderate resistance to head rot.
