The Walcer (Walcer HO) hybrid belongs to very early varieties, characterized by a plant height of 160–170 cm. The stem is thick and lodging-resistant; the leaves are dark green with a waxy coating; the heads are large and nodding, with a semi-pendant position.
The plant is resistant to common races of downy mildew and exhibits reduced susceptibility to stem and head diseases. The hybrid possesses excellent drought tolerance; the recommended plant density is 45–55 thousand plants per hectare.
The oil content is 48–50%, with an oleic acid content exceeding 85%. The produce is distinguished by a high total tocopherol content and is suitable for cold-pressed oil extraction, appropriate for culinary and industrial use.
