Perennial herbaceous evergreen plant forming dense clumps. Features leathery shiny dark green leaves. Flowers are nodding, white, sometimes with a pinkish tint, with prominent yellow stamens inside. The plant height typically reaches 30 cm.

The flowering period occurs in the winter months from November to February, sometimes continuing until April. The plant is ornamental, suitable for cultivation in a garden or containers. Prefers areas with partial shade, protected from wind, and nutrient-rich neutral or alkaline soils. All parts of the plant are poisonous.
