The variety is a six-row barley selected from introduced varieties. It is specialized as a forage crop and is intended primarily for livestock grazing, as well as for hay harvesting. The variety shows good results when grown in mixed stands with forage legumes.
The plant demonstrates high productivity under dryland farming conditions and is adapted to an arid climate. In terms of dry matter yield and nutritional value, the variety is rated as one of the most effective forage cereals in the conditions of Cyprus.
