The variety belongs to the winter six-row barley type. During comparative trials at experimental stations in Romania, the variety demonstrated high yield, surpassing the Dana variety in this indicator.
In scientific literature, the variety is used as an object for studying genetic diversity and assessing combining ability in cereal breeding. Its genetic similarity to a number of other Romanian-bred varieties, including the Regal variety, is noted.
