The variety was obtained as a result of crossing parent forms Gunilla and KM-1192. It belongs to the hulled barley type, demonstrates stable high yield and a low degree of Fusarium head blight infection.
The variety finds application in breeding when crossed with modern foreign malting barley varieties, and is also used in studies of the physical properties of the grain.
