ActiveHordeum vulgare L. · Barley
ULRICH and JOSEF BREUN
10 August 2026
The variety was obtained as a result of the cross (Prior × Lenta) // (Noyep × Lenta). It is a two-row white-grained barley with an early maturity period.
In comparative studies, the developmental period from emergence to awn appearance in this variety is longer than in the Galleon variety under various photoperiod regimes.
The variety possesses resistance genes to Puccinia hordei, including the presence of an uncharacterized gene at the Rph9/Rph12 locus. It is also mentioned in the context of research on powdery mildew resistance.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
